Our little Pumpkins

Oh fall. How I love fall time. I love pumpkins. I love to eat them in every and anything. Pumpkin bread, pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin spice lattes. Oh I could go on forever I just love it.

I LOVE going to pumpkin patches and I LOVE pictures of my little pumpkins holding even smaller pumpkins. I love that it leads in to my next favorite season CHRISTmas!!!

I love being thankful. I love counting my blessings. Thank you God for these sweet little pumpkins!

Tabor found the perfect pumpkin. He named it "punky" - Punky now sits on our doorstep.

Punky-head - He was so proud of his pumpkin choice. Oh I love this little guy!

How long can I dress them alike!? ha! Ok Ok I'll stop!!! (maybe)

Titus loved the pumpkins. He tried to eat all the stems and sit on top of them all.

Ok there was also an added bonus about going to this Pumpkin Patch...there was a Market Street down the street! We spent just as long shopping and eating lunch there as we did touring the pumpkin patch!

My little pumpkin is ONE. (I figure if I keep saying it I will believe it eventually)

Oh Shelly Belly...we love you so! These boys have such a blast with you. MOVE TO TEXAS! You belong here :-)

Shelly Belly and I went through the corn maze. We were HORRIBLE at it. I hope we are never stranded in a corn maze together without another family to follow. They were eating popcorn and we were hoping they'd drop a trail for us. They were a little annoyed that we followed them out- this was a pic of us pretending not to follow them. ha!

What do you do with cornstalks?? Decorate with them?

Yay for Boo & Kiki being here with us and Shelly Belly too!! We love you guys!

Happy Fall time from our little pumpkins (or as Tabor used to say it "cunkin"

New house bloopers

We tried to take pictures of the boys in front of the new house. We tried a few different times. In case you think our pictures are awesome and wonder if our kids always cooperate (who am I kidding - no one actually believes that!) Regardless here are all the bloopers. I love them. They make me laugh so much.

Godzilla attacks the camera

Tabor says "cheese" but forgot to face the camera

The pinwheel was not a good idea...singing the colors of the wind (whatever that means) or just screaming because he caught some wind.

It was "too bright" - that sun...hate when that happens. Tabor is a mini vampire.

Tabor and that belly. WHY did he stick it out that far? No clue.

We must have said the word belly because that's what he decided to show us.

PUT YOUR SHIRT DOWN!

Oh the pinwheel. That kid LOVES taking pictures (NOT)

Titus joins in on the photo bombing. Thanks Titus.

Poor Titus...I guess Tabor wanted a selfie.

And...we're done.

Our first house

We bought a house! After 9 moves in our 8 years of marriage it is VERY exciting to own our very own house! God is SO good!

My favorite part of our neighborhood is our pool and amenity center. We spent most of our summer days here (instead of unpacking- swimming was more fun!)

I haven't taken pictures of the inside yet but we haven't really finished decorating yet. We will get there and until then we are having a blast in our new home.

The entrance to our neighborhood is Tabor's favorite part. He loves to walk by the cowboy, horse and longhorns and every time we drive by it he says "we're almost at the new house". I wonder how long it will be called "the new house"

I'll start posting pictures of the inside soon. You can picture it though you walk in and the study is on the left, guest bath and then the kitchen and dining. On your right is the laundry room, living room and then opens into our bedroom (with master bath and closet- I love the closet). Upstairs is the gameroom, guest room and the two boys' rooms with a bathroom. See you've seen it! ;-)

God has truly blessed us and I am so grateful every single day for everything He has given us.

We have loved every place God has placed us. Starting over isn't easy but we are definitely pros by now and are enjoying discovering new favorites and spending time with our friends and family that have been awesome to come visit. We haven't found a church home yet but we have nearly tried out every church in our area and are closer to making a decision. Hopefully soon we will start getting plugged in and meeting new people.

Catching up to life

(Thanks titi Mari for the super cute shirts)

Life has been CRAZY. However my absence blogging is not because I no longer wish to blog. No I love to blog and I LOVE documenting our crazy blessed and joyfully insane moments if not for my 2 readers (or 3) well definitely for myself because for my birthday Ty IS going to print this blog for me to stick under the coffee table (which at the moment is holding our year books because a. they looked pretty (my opinion -not Ty's) and b. because we were opening that box at the same moment I realized the coffee table needed "something") - in case you cared to know all that.

My point though in writing this particular blog is to say I am trying to catch up. I know that may mean I never will catch up but I am hoping I do. I will try to catch up quickly because so much has happened I really want to record it.

So...here goes. I will catch up to the life that has quickly flown by us and try very hard to start living life rather than playing catch up everyday. (I mean this not just in the blogging sense) It has just been a very busy season in our lives. Another new start. Many new blessings from God. We are so grateful for everything He has done and is doing in our lives. So with that being said here goes. Off to catch up.

SNOW DAY

We packed all our snow gear for our trip to Virginia and didn't get to use it. We flew back to Texas and on Sunday it was 70 degrees. We played outside, laid in the grass looking up at the sky and then on Monday we had a blizzard.

So we made snow angels:

and we tasted the yummy snow...

we watched the snowflakes fall...

and were oh so warm all bundled up in our snow gear

This was Titus' first time to see snow and Tabor's 2nd.

However, it was the first time Tabor NOTICED snow and wanted to play. Please note: Gloves were on the child BEFORE he stepped outside. Mr. Blizzard preferred to go gloveless.

Papa had a snow day and worked from home, but took a break to make a life-size Frosty! Tabor stayed out and helped him the entire time. He loved his first Frosty.

I said and MEANT life-sized Frosty!

Such a happy little guy. If only he knew how fast frosty's disappear in Lubbock, Texas.

The 3 snowmen. So proud of their finished snowman!

Boo wanted to be as tall as Frosty. So she stood on a bucket. (Thank you Frosty for not knocking her over!) Boo you are crazy!

Successful first snowday! We had such a blast playing, eating and building with the snow. Frosty actually lasted an entire week. Tabor checked on him everyday until he brought me his hat, eyes, nose and mouth and said "bye bye Frosty".

MMO - Day 2

MMO - Mother's Morning Out

Day 2 was a unique and special day. Kenley came into town so we decided to get all the boys together and also let us mommies get to spend some much needed quality time together. Of course most of that time was spent chasing boys, catching swings before they smacked another boy in the head, rounding up boys, feeding snacks, feeding lunch, teaching to share, explaining sandbox rules, and getting covered in sand. Ha - life sure isn't the same as it used to be! What did we do before? Actually talk I think!!

Here are the 4 kiddos. This is one out of 50 pictures and probably the only one where you can see all of their faces in one shot.

Baker - Tabor - Quin - Cape
(our kids have such cool names!)

So this picture cracks me up. Tabor double fisting his donuts but the thing that gets me is how much he looks like Ty in this picture. You may not see it but there's a baby picture of Ty somewhere that looks so much like this one. I'll post it if I ever locate it.

Words at 13.5 months - 15 months

Sarah you've inspired me to try and capture all our "talking" moments. Mainly because they sound so funny now and I know someday they will be spoken clearly and I'll never be able to replicate his funny words. So I may not get them all down, but here's what I have been able to catch.

Huevo (egg)

Bye

Ball

Yogurt

Bubble

I began writing this so I wouldn't forget what these first words sounded like and because there were only a few that he said randomly. It's been a few weeks since I started this and his vocabulary has since doubled and he will repeat anything you ask him to (if he can say it).

So now instead of hoping to catch one word at a time...

Uh Oh, Yogurt, Banana, Bubble, Bebe (Baby as he points to mom's belly), Ow, Oh Boy and Bye:

Mama, Papa, Ball, Ya (all done), Gracias (in sign), Agua (water), Hi, and Bye:

Mama, Papa, Agua, Huevo, Cheerios (chee chee's), Nona (Flo), and Mas (more)

Ok now at 15 months here is the list we've got so far! He can say about 40 words and he's starting to string them together. Well only 2 syllable words and only 2 at a time and only randomly but it's a start. It is definitely exciting to watch how quickly this happens but it is crazy that our baby is no longer a baby!! We also realized today he will repeat nearly anything you ask him to say SO we are now watching what we say. Even if we don't say bad words around him...an innocent "Dangit" sure won't sound cute coming out of his mouth.

All done, Ball, Gracias, Mama, Papa, Agua, No, Up, Amen, Oh boy, Oh man, Ok, Daddy, Hi, Hola, Nona (Flo), Ya, Buh Bye, Yogurt, Leche, Bebe, Ow, Banana (nana), Kiki (Ricky), Bubble, Thank You, Jesus, Kapi (Kyle + Papi), Titus, Boo (Anita), Chee (Cheerios), Go, Caca (poop), Night Night, Turtle, Cracker, Please, Mas (more), Eat, Comida, Ice, Luna (moon) and Gigi (Ginger).

I think this may be the kid we are begging to play the quiet game with soon. :-)

Here is my favorite video. Tabor says Thank you Jesus, Amen.

Fiddler on the roof

We went to see fiddler on the roof at the Moonlight Musicals ampatheater with my family and some friends. It was a great night out and Nona was sweet to keep Tabor. Little did we know he had the best night of his life without us. Thanks Nona for showing him a night he will never forget and thanks to my parents for introducing us to such a fun night out!

This is the Fiddler on the Roof stage from our seats! We got there early and set up our chairs and picnic blanket complete with a delicious picnic! Ty and I are all about the food that goes with the show. We brought French bread, a variety of cheeses, Sicilian mini mozzarella balls, olives, prosciutto ham, cookies and water. Yes wine would have been the next best thing, but until Titus arrives that part of the meal is on hold.

THE Fiddler on the Roof. We had so much fun watching this play! It was especially fun because Ty and I had never seen it before!

Meanwhile, Tabor was off riding a goat...

...and playing with a horse.

Which he seems to have LOVED! This kid is crazy about animals!

This picture is the sweetest thing ever! I LOVE being close to family! These are Ty's cousins' kids. I love each one of these little guys so much and watching Tabor get to play with them just makes me incredibly happy! Flo sent this picture and I smiled for a long time!
