Gabriel Day 3

Well today was an interesting day. Gabriel came down with a stomach bug. He woke up sick and was sick all day long. Luckily his doctor in LA is amazing and walked me through what to do step by step and Gabriel did great! He was still his happy normal self and he napped better than ever. I think playing with Tabor wore him out on top of the fact that his little body was feeling so crummy. I now know exactly how to treat a stomach bug! I wish I had known this a month ago when Tabor had his! Oh well. You live. You learn.

We still managed to have a good day despite our poor sick baby and I have to say my husband deserves a gold medal for everything he did. I honestly don't know what I would've done without him. Even Monica deserves a thank you for checking on us and offering to help. You're an amazing friend Mon! Even with a sick baby at home you still offered to take on another kid! You're a great friend.

So Day 3 and we went for a quick walk while the house aired out and so we could all get some fresh air since the house smelled like Lysol & Febreeze. The boys still managed I have a blast playing with all the toys and by the end of the day I think we were all asleep by 9pm.

Gabriel day 2

Sarah left this morning and I had no idea how I was even going to get the boys out of the car by myself and so they wouldn't get rained on. My dad came to the rescue. He opened the garage for us and then each of us grabbed a baby. He was by my side all day long. Well except during diaper changes. He left that all for me :) I don't know what I would've done without my dad. He was a huge help!

The boys of course did great. They played and played and played. Actually I don't think they've ever played so much. They were exhausted by the end of the day.

Tabor ate finger foods with Gabriel all day and loved it. Although he learned that squishing and smearing can be quite fun so we had to work on that. Ty tried time out (just turning his high chair to face the wall) but Tabor seemed to enjoy it. Ha.

We had a fun day. I'm exhausted and about to rest up for tomorrow! Thanks also to Flo for making us dinner and staying to play with the boys! We had a lot of fun tonight and dinner was delicious!! Good luck to Sarah & Richard as they begin their house hunt tomorrow!!

Thanks Ty for helping put the boys to bed. It was fun watching them brush their teeth together and reading bedtime stories to these cute little guys!

Gabriel visits day 1

Sarah and Gabriel came to visit. Gabriel is staying for about a week while Sarah goes house hunting with her hubby in Virginia. I know she's thinking this will be tough on me but honestly I think it'll be tougher to leave her baby for the first time!

We had dinner at Blue Sky and the boys played together until bedtime. They were so excited to see each other again!

I lined up the boys eyeballs so Tabor's were seen through the book and Gabriel's looked like the puppy dog eyes.

Rockstar Baby

We haven't given Tabor a fohawk in awhile so we decided to try and see what it looked like...

ha! I think it may be a little long for the look we were going for, but he still looks oh so cool!

Pediped Winner

We love Pediped shoes and when we were in Florida for my grandma's birthday the photographer snapped a great picture of Tabor that we all joked looked like a Pediped ad.

So I submitted it into the Pediped website and...Tabor was picked as the January 2012 Pediped baby!

AND the best part was that they sent him a free pair of shoes! Here's what we won:

Tabor you became famous at 7 months. We are such proud parents! We would love it if you win lots of free stuff. Let's aim for clothes, food and someday college! (ha) Not really, but we are proud of you for winning your first pair of real shoes! I can't picture you wearing them yet and much less walking in them!

11 Months

Happy 11 months Tabor!

I can't believe you are 1 month away from your first birthday. It seems like just yesterday you were a newborn and now you can't sit still and life gets more and more interesting every single day!

You stand up ALL the time. If there is anything that you can pull up on...you will. You slide down into the splits to go back to "crawling". Your crawl is still the inchworm finger and toes crawl. You do get on your knees sometimes but then back to your belly you go.

We're trying to move to finger foods. You were sick for a month so until now we haven't been able to start trying new foods but so far you've had pasta, cheese, bananas, chicken noodle soup, salmon, halibut, and rice. You love cheese and rice the most. It's so cute.

You have 2 teeth. Finally! You got one tooth a week before turning 11 months and the second tooth a week after. Your top two teeth are coming in quickly and you keep pulling on your ear so much that you made your ear bleed and we had to go see the doctor.

Your feet grew! You're a size 3.5! Yay! So we finally bought you new shoes. You love your new Pedipeds and so do we! They have grippy bottoms unlike your last ones so they help you walk!

You can go up and down stairs and you love doing it. Over and over and over.

Your favorite color is orange. Yes it's weird that we know this but you only play with your orange basketball in the bathtub and you won't let go of your orange stacking ring. You will stack all the rings in order but you will NOT let go of the orange one.

You've said a few words which is so fun to hear. So far you say: Agua, Ball, Gracias which sounds like "gasha", Mama, Papa which sometimes sounds like "apa", No, mas but sounds like "ma" (which is spanish for more) and Up. You have signed "please", "all done" and "more" but you don't do it when we ask you to.

You were afraid of the running water in the bath for a few days but thanks to dad bathtime is now a pleasant experience again. Of course you would behave with your dad!

You LOVE sand, dirt and leaves. You are without a doubt a boy.

I'm sure there's more but mom's mind is hazy these days. We love you so much dear Tabor. You are such a joy to be around and we love watching your little goofy personality start to form. You are a jokester and we love how you love to make us laugh.

A day at the zoo

Ok well...not really THE ZOO but more like the mall pet store. ha!

Tabor really loves animals and we try to make trips to Petsmart or the mall "zoo" as often as possible.

Tabor held a dog bone while we waited for our favorite puppy to come out to play.

We got to play with the puppy in the puppy room. I think he was scared of Tabor though. Tabor is a little too hands on since he's used to playing with Ginger who is 10x the size of this puppy but we still had fun!

Then we played with the cars that moved after looking at the birds and ferrets.

Tabor kept trying to make the cars go faster. ha Our little daredevil. I love the pic of him in his California wheels. Tabor is a Cali dude all the way.

Next week..Petsmart! :-) Hey it's free admission!!
