Titus - 2 months

Titus you're 2 months old! I can't believe it. It feels like you were just born but it also feels like you have been in our family forever. I already cannot imagine life without you. You are such a sweet blessing and such a joy to cuddle with! You smile and giggle so much and love to stick out your tongue. It makes us all laugh.

You have changed so much in just a month since I last wrote an update!

You've nearly rolled over a few times by accident and you really don't enjoy tummy time. I will admit we should do it more but you just love your bouncer so much it's hard not to put you in it. You kick to make it bounce and you laugh when you hit a toy. It is just too sweet.

You weighed 13.25lbs at your 2 month checkup. You are already wearing 6 month clothing because you are so long! It was also the first time I heard you cry because you were in pain it broke my heart! You now have received your first set of vaccines and you are a healthy little boy! Praise God! The doctor made us wait 2 hours so your mom was a mess, but at least we waited in a private room and I was able to feed you. Then it was actually sweet because I got to play with you and have you all to myself. You fell asleep right before they came to do your shots and woke up when they stuck you. :-( You cried and then instantly fell asleep again. It worked out in the end that you were so tired!

I am convinced that you've said your first word and it's "hi". I caught it on video so your Dad now believes me also!

You're current eating schedule is 5:30-8:30-11:30-2:30-5:30-8:00 (I'm writing this here so I have it stored somewhere- you actually sleep better without the Dream Feed which is crazy to me!) So please keep up the 8-5:30 sleep and feel free to extend it ANY time! Your 9:30-10:30 "witching" hour is GONE - we are happy and sad about this because we actually LOVED getting to hold you as you slept! (I say witching but you didn't really cry so much as just refuse to sleep unless we held you)

You love to stick out your tongue to lick things and you suck on your fingers or your mittens when you sleep. Love it!

You can hold up your head really well, but you're still a little bobblehead. You sometimes drop your head onto our shoulders and cry. It hurts.

You no longer prefer to be on our shoulders. Now you like to be held facing out so you can see everything around you.

You shake your fist after you eat. I love this! Maybe your arm falls asleep!?

You're wearing size 2 Pampers Sensitive diapers and will probably move up to size 3 soon. We are also already using cloth on you.

Your double chin and rolls are so cute. (you look just like your dad did as a baby)

You giggle and smile a lot! The funny thing is your eyes usually stay so serious when you laugh.

You also love to copy us. You will "talk" if we say "hi" and you will stick your tongue out if we stick our tongue out at you. It's so much fun to play with you.

Oh and you sleep better when there is TONS of noise around. You prefer a loud atmosphere while you are napping. Something we are easily able to provide. Thank you God for this trait! We'd be in trouble otherwise!

Titus you are such a sweet little cuddly joy! You are super laid back (so far) and love watching us all especially Tabor. (You are probably wondering when he will sit on you next but still you seem to love to watch him) You make us all smile and holding you is probably the best part of our day. It makes the sleepless nights and 9 months of carrying you SO SO worth it. You are such a precious baby and I pray for time to go by slowly because I want to enjoy every second with you. Happy 2 months sweet Titus.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours.

We did a 2 for 1 this year and included Titus' announcement card on the back of our Christmas card. So also welcome to the family Baby Titus Slade! We love you little man!

Keith & Kayla

Titus got to meet Keith & Kayla over the Christmas break. He was so excited. He loves to cuddle so any chance he gets just makes his day!

It was fun getting to catch up with you guys! We miss you so much!!! We wish we were closer so we could see you both all the time!

Tabor loved having an audience to entertain. He even said "Cheese" for the camera. (this never happens!) He loved getting to see Keith & Kayla and can't wait to see them again!

Christmas with Kapi

LOVE this group shot we got! Thank goodness Keith & Kayla were around! Thanks to our awesome photographers!

We had such a blast celebrating Christmas with Kapi! We opened gifts and had a delicious dinner together and then stayed up all night playing games! It was awesome!! Ty & Kapi even got to check out the new theater that just opened and we ate Cajun food the next day. It was so yummy! Tabor LOVED his spicy dish- crazy kid!

Kapi had a name frame made for each of us and they were all specific to each person. They are AMAZING! I have wanted one of these for years!! So excited about this!

The boys got helicopters which Tabor calls "avion" (airplane in spanish) and we MUST fly it everyday or Tabor gives us a long lecture.

Tabor got a sweet new ride that he lets me share with him. He's actually almost figured out how to do it on his own. So soon Mama won't be allowed on anymore :-( He loves it though.

Thanks Kapi for an amazing Christmas! We are ready for a Blokus & Catchphrase rematch!!!

Christmas with Nona!

We had such a great Christmas with Nona! Santa brought us matching pajamas on Christmas Eve so we all woke up looking super cute. Even Tabor & Titus matched with us. Tabor loved his "cool shoes" pajamas and Titus well...he mostly slept.

It was so much fun getting to be all together this year! Thanks to the snow we actually stayed in our cute pajamas for most of the day. It was awesome!

Mama and her babies. Love these little guys. Titus we hope you enjoyed your first Christmas!

Tabor loved opening presents, searching for Elf, kissing his favorite ornaments (a hippo & an owl) and playing with his aunt, uncles and Nona!

Our little family loving Christmas Day!

Opening presents wore Tanner out. Zzz Oh wait this is before we opened presents.

This was after opening presents. So sweet!

Trey waiting to dig into his stocking! Trey has the BEST stocking...

No clue what is going on here.

We had fun opening our stockings. Tabor especially loved his yogurt snacks!

Nona had a blast watching everyone dig in!

Kelli loved her goodies!

Tanner too!

I think Tabor & Titus loved them the most (well Mom & Dad did for sure!) We were so blessed by our families. Thanks to everyone for making it such a special Christmas!

Nona and her Titus' First Christmas ornament! They finally came in!

Even Hank (or "Unk") loved Christmas!

Tabor got a new drum set. Now we just need a sound proof room!!

Tanner & Kelli with a new ornament!

Titus loving his first Christmas and cuddling with Nona!

Secret Santa gift which was later used to make the most amazing Eggs Benedict! YUM!

Mema made it over from Dimmitt the next day once the snow cleared and surprised us all with new aprons. I LOVE aprons! I'd love to have a different one for every day of the year! I love them that much and this one is even more special!! Thanks Mema!!!

We had such a blessed white Christmas! It was nice to get to relax with family. I love Christmas!

Christmas in Dimmitt

We had a blast in Dimmitt celebrating Christmas with Pepaw, Gran, Beth, Brooke & Nick! Titus has a HUGE crush on Brooke (she's beautiful so I don't blame him!) He held her finger the entire time and kept staring at her when he was awake.

He loved playing with Pepaw & Gran too! He got lots of cuddling in.

I wish he would stay sleepy and cuddly forever. It's so sweet. We had so much fun eating and playing all day.

Tabor was our little entertainer. He kept us all very entertained and made everyone laugh. He also had a crush on Brooke.

He wanted to play outside, shoot baskets and high five all day long.

Pepaw and Gran gave him his first ever basketball goal and he has not stopped playing with it since. He wakes up asking to "shoot the ball".

We had such an amazing time and are ready to go back and play! Thanks for a fun fun day Pepaw & Gran! Love you guys!

Colorado Christmas

We had Christmas early with the Colorado family. It was so much fun. We woke up in our pj's and opened our stockings and presents! The boys had matching reindeer pajamas (I couldn't resist!)

Titus looks like he LOVES being held by Big Brother while wearing a reindeer hat and shoes. ha! Love these little boys so much! Christmas sure is extra magical with them around!

Tabor had a blast opening his stocking. He couldn't believe things kept coming out of it.

Titus got a new sock monkey stocking this year to match his nursery bedding. So fun! All that was inside were new pacifiers. He was THRILLED! ;-)

Ty got his favorite kinds of cookies. McVities oh how we love you!

Tabor received more wind up toys than his little hands could hold.

Boo hit the jackpot in her stocking! Giftcards & socks!

Tabor had fun ripping his presents open. That may have been his favorite part.

Kiki showed us all his artistic abilities on Tabor's new toy. We were all impressed with his Elf!

Tabor's present from us was a new "B. Woofer" guitar which we all hide from now because there is a designated dance floor where the guitar sits ready for a daily dance session. (and everyone around is REQUIRED to dance!) Tabor you are so much fun and such a little musician!

Ty got a new much needed shirt! yay!

And again here is our little rockstar in action. Tabor you definitely made the day memorable!

We ate our traditional egg casserole even after the oven died that morning - great thinking Boo baking it in a small pan so we could finish cooking it in the toaster oven! We stayed in our pj's most of the day while playing with new blocks, putting together the kids activity table, playing with the new choo choo track and dancing to Tabor's guitar. So blessed!
