Tabor's Nursery

4 weeks and counting...

We finished Tabor's nursery! There are still a few final touches to make but for the most part it is done! All we need now is Tabor!

Here's a few pics of what we've done so far!

We painted a sailboat with captain monkey overlooking his crib and added a sailboat mobile. Thanks to Aunt Agie & Aunt Mari for the amazing crib - it was the first thing in his nursery!

Here's a close-up of his sweet little mobile sailboat.

We painted letters to match the bedding. The glider is where we sit to admire our work now! :-) Actually Ty and I try to beat each other to the glider everyday. It's funny. I usually win!

We were able to leave the guest bed in his room for all his guests. So for now his other dresser will go in the closet - Thanks to his Great Grandparents Gran & PeePaw! Which is actually super convenient since his closet is so big. This boy has more storage space than Ty or I do, but I also think he has more clothes and blankets than us too!

The pictures over the bed were painted to match his bedding too. I hope he loves sailboats as much as we do!

Here's  close-up of the sailboat paintings.

Here's another view. This time with Fergie the Frog peeking through. It's also a better view of the quilt that his great-grandmother Mema made him! I must admit I love wrapping myself up in it while I sit and glide away!

Here's a close-up of the sailboat & monkey. I think I'm going to add waves to the bottom of the boat. Any comments or suggestions are welcome :-)

The other side of his room has the glider, nightstand and his dresser. A perfect spot to watch little Tabor in his crib.

Ahh sigh the glider! Such a happy place. Thanks to Tim & Marlene for this amazing addition!

We had the little pillow monogrammed for Tabor and it goes perfectly in his fun chair!

I can't wait to fill the frames with pictures of our new little man! The cross was an extra touch to the lamp shade. I just love it all!

Here are a few "extras" that are just waiting around for Baby T. Tabor's big-eyed and no tailed tiger from his great-grandmother Mami.

His sailboat and Jelly-cat are currently sitting on the shelf above the dresser waiting for a canvas photo of Tabor!

The other shelf holds his magnetic train from his Grandpa Icki & Grandma Boo (Don't ask - we'll see if these names actually stick!). It has been made to spell so many things but hopefully it'll still say Tabor when our little dude comes home!

We also just got a monkey & tree painting from the San Diego Zoo from his Tia Lene & Tio Tiomoteo! We LOVE how this looks! It matches perfectly!! This is such an amazing painting!!

So that's it for now. That's his nursery. That's where our new son will sleep soon. It's so crazy to think that he really is nearly here! We can't wait to meet you little T.

We already love you so much Tabor. Please come soon!!
